The Kids Gallery provides a highly original integrated visual learning environment in relation to the main exhibition and events programs at Casula Powerhouse. The gallery creates unique interactive environments that engage audiences by unpacking major themes or key aspects of exhibitions or events on display. The focus is to design innovative experiences for pre-school children, parents, primary and secondary students, access and tertiary level students.
Throughout the year the Kids Gallery periodically features Collection Connection, exhibiting works chosen from the permanent collection at Casula Powerhouse to engage children in curatorial processes. The works are selected to make identifiable connections across different artworks.
The aim of Kids Gallery is to provide a flexible and high-level exhibition space that is creative, responsive and inclusive in its approach year round. It allows participants to respond in new and original ways to exhibition and ensures renewed experiences upon each visit.
